In Sword Art Online, a Clearer (攻略組, Kōryaku Gumi?, lit. Capture group) is an elite player who is at a higher level than most other players and focuses on leveling up and getting better equipment in order to clear all levels of the game. Clearers are looked up to and admired by many with high regard due to their ability to fight on the front lines, which are the most dangerous parts of the death game.
