  • Would you be interested in affiliating with Spice & Wolf Wiki? Here is wiki-wordmark of Spice & Wolf.

    • This wiki has chosen to only affiliate with similar wikis. We require the wiki to meet at least one of the criteria listed on our Affiliation page to consider affiliation. And as far as I'm aware, Spice & Wolf wouldn't meet any of the criteria we have. Though, thank you for the offer.

  • I saw Ordinal Scale quite a while ago and enjoyed it, but i do have a question: how does the game simulate the clashing of the swords?

  • I just made my fandom account yesterday and you are very cool for the amount of effort you put into your work, im still trying to figure out how this site works, hopefully ill get the hang of it soon! have a good day.

    • I'm glad that you enjoy our effort, but please refrain from spamming on the wiki. Please try to post only meaningful comments and not necro old posts without good reason. Otherwise, it floods the wiki feed and makes it harder to notice vandals on the wiki. Thank you.

  • It seems to me like you just undid the edit without even looking at the summary or what I changed in the trivia because you didn't leave any comment explaining your reasoning.

The summary was this: The probability of it being true is much higher than normal speculation, which only uses maybe or possibly. Did you even read the reasons I stated? The similarities between the two swords are too many for it to be coincidence.

The strong similarities I'm talking about are 7 in total and are the following:

    The two swords:

    1.Have similar shape and size.

2.Have the exact same color scheme.

3.Are both described as being as long as the user's body.

4.Are both described as almost touching the ground when sheathed.

5.Are both described as being like a raw heap of iron.

6.Are sheathed in an unconventional way (The Dragonslayer with a big metal pin lock and Kirito's greatsword with two wooden straps) due to them being very large.

7.Are obtained by their series' protagonist at the beginning of the 2nd arc.

But I suppose you'll just delete this message and not care about the logic, evidence or reasoning like the admins on, let's say, the VS Battle Wiki who just ban people whose opinions differ (even if they are backed up by logic) and change articles to their liking even if their edits are biased and exaggerated. I didn't think the SAO and other anime Wikis are like that, but hey, you could prove me wrong.

    • I don't think you understand what "factual" or "citation" means.

      > but the resemblance between the two swords is so obvious that you don't need a direct statement to see it

Except you are immediately throwing away the possibility of "coincidence". "May in fact be" is not a factual statement, we do not care what may or not be. We care about what is and isn't.

    • I don't think anyone here knows what speculation means. I didn't know precisely what the word meant and assumed it to be something similar to possibility, theory and such. The reason I said that my edit was speculation on one of the summaries was because you called it speculation first, so I assumed you knew what you were talking about. But here's the dictionary definition of the word speculation - the forming of a theory or conjecture without firm evidence

Right back at you: firm evidence, just as you've cited this definition without a source link to prove our point. Circumstantial evidence =/= firm evidence. Just like Kaan said, it either is or isn't. Anything with "likely"/"possibly"/"could be"/etc. is speculation. Anything that isn't speculation has a definitive source to back it up. That's why anything based on personal opinions, rather than official sources, is considered speculation on the wiki unless proven otherwise.

  • Which light novel volume does the War of Underworld first half anime end off adaptation wise?

      Loading editor
    • 50 or so pages into v17.

    • Thank you! Also, in regards to Alternative, which volume does that start and end at, adaptation wise?

        Loading editor
    • If you're referring to AGGO (there's more than one Alternative series), the anime adapts the first three volumes.

  • Hey, just wanted to ask. The image i added on Strea's gallery was considered an official art. The image is the anniversary art for "Infinity Moment" 7th Anniversary. May I just ask what was wrong with that one? Thanks.

    • 1. You messed up the caption for another image and made multiple edits, making it harder to fix it on my phone (https://swordartonline.fandom.com/index.php?title=Strea%2FImage_Gallery&diff=170127&oldid=165002)

      2. You changed the image but didn't update the source. Images are only allowed on articles if they're properly sourced.

P.S. It's highly impolite to snag someone else's work like that. It's one thing to add an image to a gallery when no one has touched it in weeks or months. But in this case, I just uploaded a large batch of images and was in the process of adding them to the relevant galleries at a pace of one or two galleries per day to not clutter the feed, since it makes it harder to notice vandal edits. If you want to add someone else's image to a gallery when the image was recently uploaded, the least you could do is send them a message to check if they weren't planning to do that themselves.

    • I was asking in a nice way man. If you dont want me to edit soelmething here. Just leave a note saying dont edit -_-

    • Sorry if I came off too blunt. I had by no means tried to implied that you can't edit the wiki. You asked what was wrong with the image and so I answered: collateral damage and sourcing issues. When it comes to wiki talk, I usually just get to the point, especially when I have to finish up a reply quick since I'm called to the breakfast table.
