The «Monument of Swordsmen» is a large stone tablet on the first floor of «Aincrad» in the «Black Iron Castle». On it are the names of players that helped to clear each floors' boss. When a raid group (more than just one party) kills the boss, only the names of the leaders of each party have their name embedded into the stone. But, if a single party were to take on the challenge and prove successful, each party member would have their name engraved in the stone.

This monument is introduced when Yuuki and the «Sleeping Knights» desperately want to leave their name on the monument so that everyone would know that they had once existed. Asunaplays a major role in helping the group achieve their goal.
