Sword Art Offline Two Episode 02 (そーどあーと・おふらいん つー その2, Sōdo Āto Ofurain Tsū Sono 2^?) is the second episode of the Sword Art Offline Two extra series that was bundled with limited edition version Blu-ray Discs and DVDs of the second season of the anime. This episode is anchored by Asuna, with Kirito and Sinon as commentators.

Plot

News Headline

Asuna announced that there is a new gorgeous idol in the fierce world of GGO. A cute girl has logged in to SBC Glocken, even among MMORPGs, and especially GGO, there are more male than female players and that for such a cute girl like her to be found inside the game is a rare sight indeed. Her player profile along with her player name is unknown and her good looks and sweet naive demeanour has quickly become a topic gossiped among the male players. There are even unofficial fan clubs and her fans are eagerly expressing their interest in a photoshoot and her making an idol debut.

After the opening animation, Asuna stated that Kirito couldn't due to pressing circumstances and that she managed to talk someone into taking his place, which was in fact Kirito in his GGO avatar. Kirito introduced himself as "Kiriko" and after being question by Asuna about "What is your ideal type of guy?", he gave up on his act as a girl and Asuna introduced Sinon to the show and that she would be a regular guest to the show and Sinon openly showed her anger towards Kirito for seeing her in her underwear and stated the things Kirito did to upset would be shown later on.

Sword Art Trivia

Yui talks about the ballistic prediction lines which are the red lines which shows the player the fired bullets trajectory when they are being targeted. Players can use this lines to evade bullets or take cover from them,but if a sniper is not spotted, their first shot will not have a bullet prediction line and it's because of this, it is nearly impossible to dodge a sniper's first shot.

Playback Corner

The segment begins with a clip of Kirito acting like a girl to get Sinon's help. Asuna questioned Kirito how he felt acting like a girl where Kirito replied that it sucked and that all the players were sneering and looking in his direction and kind of understood how Asuna felt during SAO. Sinon decided to criticise him by saying that he had no problem acting like a girl and that Kirito might have a cross-dressing fetish. Kirito quickly denied and told Sinon to stop making such assumptions. Sinon then said that there was more recording of where it came from.

The next clip was when Sinon was in her underwear and Kirito hurriedly looked away. Sinon stated that that was clear evidence of his peverted intentions of acting like a girl. Asuna after hearing that felt distraught and Kirito immediately said that seeing Sinon in her underwear was a complete accident and wasn't intentional. He also added that he apologised after that. Sinon retaliated saying that if it was on purpose Kirito would be dead right now and that if Kirito said he was a guy to begin with, this situation could have been avoided.

The next clip was Kirito and his meeting with Speigel. Sinon commented about how Kirito spoke at that time and that it sounded like that of a girl. Asuna became very upset and Kirito said that he was just playing a joke. Asuna asked if she could Kirito on this and replied that she really should. Sinon added that if Speigel is his type, she could tell him Kirito then said not to joke about something like that.

The next clip was Kirito cutting Sinon's bullet in half. Kirito asked if he did anything wrong there and Sinon said she didn't like how Kirito cut her bullet in half. Kirito asked her what kind of reason that was and Sinon questioned that what is wrong with not liking something and said he did a bunch to annoy her and he should just live with it.

Sword Art Trivia

Yui talks about the gun Kirito has, the FN Five-Seven handgun. Its name comes from the 5.7mm bullet it fires which are smaller than the common 9mm rounds and the gun is rather small and lightweight being made of polymer and the bullets resemble that of a rifle's and have enough stopping power to pierce a ballistic vest.

Problem Solving Corner

The week's problem was sent from the avatar buyer that met Kirito when he first logged into GGO. He said could not stop thinking about the Kirito and the type-M9000 avatar he has. Sinon said that the avatar is very rare and often mistaken as a female avatar and that some people would rather date a guy with this avatar than a real girl with the whole androgyny going on. Kirito immediately rejected that he would never date a guy. Kirito said she pitied the guy and said why don't Kirito just go and meet the guy. Kirito said he did not want to meet him and get his hopes high. Sinon suggested sending a nice and cute picture of Kirito to the avatar buyer and he would back off. A picture of him in a cute pose was shown and Sinon proposed to the avatar buyer that he could have that picture and think of it as Kirito he met the other day.

Closer

Asuna asked how Sinon how she felt about the show. She said it was fun and that she was able to get back on Kirito a bit and added that she would want to get backon Kirito more but she feels bad for Asuna. Kirito said that this season he is not being physically abused as much but the psychological damage is increasing. Asuna asked Kirito to hang in there as an encouragement.
