Sword Art Online - Phantom Bullet (ソードアート・オンライン ファントム・バレット, Sōdo Āto Onrain Fantomu Baretto?) is a manga adaption of the Sword Art Online light novel series by Kawahara Reki. This adaption cover the Phantom Bullet arc of the original series, which is composed of Volume 5 and Volume 6 Light Novel. The ongoing manga is illustrated by Yamada Kotaro and published on Comic Walker, a manga serialization site owned by Kadokawa, the parent corporation of Dengeki Bunko, with an indefinite release interval.
Summary
After cleared Sword Art Online and regained his lover, Asuna from ALfheim Online, Kirito, i.e. Kirigaya Kazuto, suddenly received a request for help in his peaceful days. And the content of the request is to search for the truth behind murdering cases that happened cross the root of different between game and reality...?

Chapter 1
The chapter start with a flashback of MMO Stream reporting people quening up to buy SAO before its official service and then it being turned into a death game then it mention about reactions of different people like there are some who fight in it, and after about two years of time, there are different people meet and separated in it, and have the most beloved Asuna, as think in such way by Kirito. And then the flashback continues that after some more fight, Heathcliff is defeated and have the game cleared and Aincrad destructed.
One years after the end of SAO incident, it come to MMO Stream again and this time it is a Gun Gale Online Special report that include an interview of Zekushido and Yamikaze, then the Death Gun excuted its acts in a certain pub in GGO.
After that, the scene shifted to Tokyo in December 2025 where Kikuoka talks to Kirito and mentioned some death cases together with Gun Gale Online. On another side, in Gun Gale Online, Sinon is preparing shooting as according to Dyne's instruction.

- Its first chapter were released via appendix of Dengeki Bunko Magazine Volume 37 before its serialization on Comic Walker.
- While the official Comic Walker site stated the manga's upcoming release time is indefinite, but judging from the past release record of the manga on that site (Chapter 1: May 13, 2014, Chapter 2: July 12, 2014), and its magazine affiliation is listed as Dengeki Bunko Magazine on the site (Despite its future volume would not appear in it), it is likely that it follow a release cycle of roughly 2 months per chapter.
