The Seal of the Right Eye (右目の封印, Migime no Fuuin^?) is the nineteenth episode of the Sword Art Online Alicization anime adaptation. It aired on February 23, 2019.

Plot

Alice listens attentively as Kirito reveals the secrets of the Underworld, the origin of the Integrity Knights, and the true nature of Administrator. She feels a surge of doubt and anger towards the Axiom Church, and decides to renounce its authority over her life. However, as she tries to voice her defiance, she feels a sharp pain in her right eye. She realizes that it is the seal that prevents her from disobeying the church's rules. She grits her teeth and pushes through the pain, shouting out her rejection of the church, until her right eye bursts and she falls unconscious. On the other hand, Eugeo regains consciousness on the 100th floor. He sees Administrator lying on a bed and prepares to attack her, but she wakes up and casts a spell on him. She makes him lower his guard and forget his mission, and manipulates him into exposing his Fluctlight's core to her.

• Several of Kirito's inner thoughts as he sat on the balcony with Alice were omitted, including:
  • Deducing that Linel and Fizel were likely born within the Axiom Church.
  • Planning his next move after defeating Quinella, starting with making contact with Rath to stop the incoming Dark Territory invasion.
  • Deducing that the Underworld was probably the end result of Kayaba Akihiko's research and that the World Seed was likely created for that purpose.
  • Deducing that Kikuoka Seijirou's goal with creating the Underworld was likely related with Japan's national defense.
• The scene where Kirito deduced that there must be a traitor in Rath, who is trying to sabotage Project Alicization, upon discovering the Seal of the Right Eye was omitted.
• During his encounter with Quinella, several scenes and some of Eugeo's inner thoughts were omitted, including:
  • Being stunned by Quinella's beauty, noting she was even more beautiful than Alice.
  • His brother getting angry over him getting the woodcutter Sacred Task.
  • Getting angry at his father over him taking his pay for his Sacred Task.
  • Jink bullying him after Alice got taken away, saying he will now never get married.
