Heartless Choice (非情の選択, Hijou no Sentaku^?) is the thirty-fifth episode of the Sword Art Online Alicization anime adaptation. It aired on December 21, 2019.

Plot

The next day, the diversionary unit finds out that Vector has commanded his troops to cross the huge canyon by hanging from 10 ropes, and devises a way to stop them. At the same time, in the Ocean Turtle, Critter manages to deactivate the fluctlight acceleration and launches a patch program to lure AmuSphere users in America into a VRMMO game where they can kill other players, making them believe that it was a "beta test". Yui notices their scheme and alerts Kirito and Asuna's friends. Leafa and Sinon access the STL at Rath's Roppongi branch, and Lisbeth logs into ALO to persuade the Japanese players to join the Underworld against the American players. Critter deploys 20,000 American players on the opposite side of the huge canyon.
