New World (ニューワールド, Nyuu Waarudo^?) is the forty-seventh and final episode of the Sword Art Online Alicization anime adaptation. It aired on September 19, 2020.

Plot

Rinko called Kazuto to tell him that Alice had disappeared. Kazuto was surprised when he received a package and opened it to find Alice inside. She had mailed herself to his house. She was angry with Kazuto for not coming back to the Underworld with her. Kazuto hugged Alice and apologized. He took her to the family dojo where they practiced sword fighting. The family welcomed Alice and celebrated Kazuto's recovery from the hospital. Kirigaya Minetaka; Kazuto's uncle was worried about the recent events and Kazuto said he was sorry. Later, Alice told Kazuto that she had received a strange email that could be a way to contact the Underworld. Alice, Kazuto, and Asuna went to Rath to try their idea. They logged in and found themselves in outer space near the planet Cardina where the human empire lived. They saw two spaceships with Ronye and Tiese's descendants as pilots. They were being chased by a space monster called the Abyssal Horror. Kirito, Asuna, and Alice fought and killed it. The Integrity Pilots recognized them as the Star King, Star Queen, and Integrity Knight Alice. They also saw a flash of Eugeo. They were very happy and cried to see the legendary heroes of the Underworld. They flew back to Cardina with them.
