Despite Yuuki Asuna's birthday fast approaching, her boyfriend Kirigaya Kazuto (Kirito) still found himself at a loss as to what present he should offer her for the occasion. On September 27, 2026, the boy attempted to consult with his foster daughter Yui for ideas, only to be told that she would be happy with anything he chose for her by himself. Deciding to postpone his decision for a birthday present until he managed to do more research on the subject, Kazuto switched from his Augma earpiece to his AmuSphere device and logged into ALfheim Online.
