Sword Art Online mangas are the manga adaptations of the original Sword Art Online light novel series, written by Kawahara Reki. There are multiple manga adaptations of the series: manga that follow the main story of the Aincrad Arc, Fairy Dance Arc, Phantom Bullet Arc, and the Alicization Arc, two manga based on the Calibur and Mother's Rosario side stories respectively, a 4-koma counterpart, an adaptation of the Progressive series, an adaptation of the Gun Gale Online spin-off series, and a spin-off manga, titled "Girls Ops". So far only the Aincrad, Fairy Dance, Calibur and Mother's Rosario manga have been completed, while the other manga are still ongoing, with new chapters being released about every 1-2 months.
There are also a few SAO-themed comic anthologies, which include short manga stories drawn by various authors. Additionally, some doujinshi work created wholly or partly by the series original author was published in the form of manga. Publications that at least partially fall under this range include Material Edition 1, Material Edition 3, Silica Edition, Lisbeth Edition, and Pina Edition.
