Dual Blades in this episode[]

I would just like to clarify that the Dual Blades Kirito used in this episode is not the same as the one in SAO, as there is no actual Dual Blades Skill in ALO, it is possible to equip two one-handed swords in ALO, but to actually be effective is using 2 swords is no easy task. Since this version of ALO doesnt have the OSS yet, Kirito is mearly dual wield 2 one handed swords in this episode, without any special effects like added stats. It was stated in the Light novels that there were a few who attempted to use Dual Blades in ALO but was not efficient in using them, Lyfa/Leafa stated that even in the real world, it was hard to actually dual-wield two kendo swords and it took a lot of practice to actually master it. Since Kirito was used to dual-wielding two swords in SAO even without system-assisted skills, he is able to be effective in dual-wielding in ALO.

I just posted this to clear things concerning the word "skill" since it has a dual meaning in SAO, one pertains to the system-generated skill and the other being the person's skill or proficiency on that certain talent/skill/ability or whatever you want to call it, which in this discussion is Dual-wielding two swords.Ukiyaejl (talk) 03:28, November 19, 2012 (UTC)

I think stating that „Dual Blades «Unique Skill»” was used in this episode is misleading. As far as I know, there are no „Unique Skills” in ALO. As typed above, it was just wielding two one-handed swords. In my opinion whole reference to this skill should be removed from Abilities Used section in this article. And particularly the parts mentioning that is a unique skill from SAO, because both pieces of information are wrong. It would be good to change the name of the ability in this section if it is not to be removed, and maybe replace the „unique skill from SAO” fragment with a note referring to that unique skill, as it wasn't actually used here though it surely is relavant.Havelock 00:28, November 30, 2012 (UTC)
