  • 3 of the 5 planned articles completed. 1 needs massive proofreading + minor additions and corrections.

If anyone want to join in on working on the articles, I believe 1 more editor on this project would still have something to do.

      Loading editor
    • I'll help in it

        Loading editor
    • Ok. I'm currently doing Master Sword Academy (Draft). You can either pick one of the other 2 locations to do, or help me with this article.

        Loading editor
    • Awwwwwwwww, I wanted master sword academy... :(

      I don't think I could do the other 2 as I haven't finished the volume 2 chapters :/

        Loading editor
    • Where were you since Feburary then? Vol 10 has been released a long time ago, but no one has bothered making the article. Not to mention that this project has been up for weeks now and you could have made your claim in that time. I've already started work on it, but you can still help out with the article if you want to.

        Loading editor
    • Lol I'm scared of making pages on this wiki... Also I was gonna ask to do this one but I forgot why I didn't, sorry bout that. I don't mind.

Also, all my tests and stuff are in. 2 weeks so I might have to study. Just letting you know

        Loading editor
    • Why are you scared of making pages? I thought you liked big projects?

Good luck with your tests then.

@KDTV, so would you like to help me with MSA or would you like to work on 1 of the other 2 articles? I have already started work on the article, but got side-tracked with finishing the STL as I ran into some inconsistencies and asked BT about them (they took a week to respond last time)

        Loading editor
    • I'll help edit before posting? Editing is my self-proclaimed project anyways.

        Loading editor
    • I'll se what I can do

        Loading editor
    • Alright, so I finally published MSA, even though it's not 100% done, but it's already officially the largest location article on the wiki.... over 13,000 bytes.... it's even bigger than Aincrad...

Anyway, KDTV (and anyone who wants to join him), could you please proofread that gigantic wall of text? Already too exhausted to do it myself.

Also, I had a few issues due to translation differences between vol 10 and 11:

      1. Several variants for the official name of the Academy, so I picked the variant which sounded best to me. It would be nice if we could get this sorted though.
      2. Elite trainee versus elite swordsman-in-training. I wanted to use the latter one at first, but it proved to be too tedious, so I used both. Does anyone know if either could be used, or if 1 of the variants is better/more official?
      3. Plenty of other things that I can't remember right now.
        Loading editor
    • Ok, I'll proof-read it today at lunch time

        Loading editor
    • So, TUSF bailed on the proofreading, KDTV has already started and MPA... piano?

Oh and regarding KDTV's recent change (http://swordartonline.wikia.com/wiki/Master_Sword_Academy?diff=44266&oldid=44049), here's an excerpt where I took that part from. Does this change change the meaning of the sentence?

"Unlike the novice trainees' dormitory that they have been living in until one and a half months ago, the elite swordsmen-in-training's dormitory was in the shape of a perfect circle. It was a three-story building with an atrium in the middle, a corridor forming a ring around it indoors, and the rooms where the twelve swordsmen-in-training stayed were lined up on the outer edge in the south."

        Loading editor
    • T coma after the word middle changes my perception of the sentence, now it has kore sense

        Loading editor
    • "a corridor forming a ring around it indoors" that doesn't make sense

        Loading editor
    • I imagined a semi-circle non-open air corridor, while the rooms are located in a specific part of the corridor when I read that. But my brain is working at less than 10% of its usual capacity due to vacation mode, so I could be wrong.

        Loading editor
    • "An enclosed corridor forming a ring linked the rooms where the twelve swordsmen-in-training stayed. These rooms were lined up on the outer edge of the corridor in the south."

is something like that what you were after?

        Loading editor
    • "Forming a ring around the atrium". That sounds more like what I imagined, though don't ask me if that is how it's supposed to be, as I did mostly copy paste that part to avoid misinterpretation :D

        Loading editor
    • Oh it should be "forming a ring that linked" whoops

        Loading editor
    • Hey, I was working on the Central Cathedral, has anyone else started it?

        Loading editor
    • I'm on holiday, remember? I'll only be home tomorrow, so, if you wanna do the article for Central Cathedral, then go for it.

P.S. I have a draft up for locations. Since you're working on this project too, feel free to use it. I already have the infobox, image and categories ready:

      Draft

This would also help me keep track of your progress and help you out with the article (and take a sneak peak at your work at the same time :P).

        Loading editor
    • I'm finally back home. Time to get started on something again. :)

Oh and KDTV, how much progress have you done on the Central Cathedral?

    • Is anyone good with kanji? Or at least know how to identify a kanji? I'm trying to get the kanji of the "Great Library Room" (unfortunately, it wasn't in katakana, but actual kanji :/). I seem to have (at least I hope I do) localized where the full name is given in kanji, however, I was only able to identify 5/6 of them (3 given by google in English -> Japanese; 1 found in an alternate translation by google, 1 was easy to identify as I had come across it before), however, 1 single kanji is out of my league - can't identify it no matter what.

If anyone could help me with this, I'd be really grateful.

Managed to identify 巨大図書室, but the topmost kanji is just too complex for me.

Edit: It was 超. Thanks to MPA for the help. This kanji apparently changed just "huge" to "supergiant" or "exceedingly huge" :D

Anyway, I apparently got both the parts and the stroke order wrong, which is why I couldn't find it :D

    • Off-topic: You have raw SAO LN?

        Loading editor
    • All current 12 volume scans (available on the Net). Where do you think I keep getting the katakana that's not on the BT guidelines? Too bad that I can't read Japanese, so that's practically the only thing I use the scans for :D

Also, that's how found out that Sinon was actually given in English in the LN, which is probably why BT didn't use Shinon instead...

        Loading editor
    • That's illegal material man! Unless its liscenced of course.

        Loading editor
    • In that sense, BT would probably be illegal as well. I can't even read the raws and am just using exerpts of it for finding stuff for the Nihongo.

        Loading editor
    • BT does it under translating laws, yours is the original material

        Loading editor
    • <-Not an expert on legal issues :P So let's just leave this discussion here.

On topic: 超巨大図書室 was actually used in one instance I think, but it was used after a big vertical line, so I thought that it should be the full name of the library, but 大図書室 seems to be more common and actually translates as "great" instead of "exceedingly large" in google. Now I'm not sure which to use :/

        Loading editor
    • sorry for not helping; i'm on vacation.

        Loading editor
    • Well, I currently don't need anymore help with this specific project and KDTV is currently occupied with projects and finals, so he doesn't have time to work on his article. But if SOMEONE or more like ANYONE could come over to SAO locations and help me with a few issues, I'd be very grateful...

        Loading editor
    • Depends what you define as a few issues

        Loading editor
    • An «Issue» - a problem, inconsistency, lack of information, something that needs more opinions etc. that prevents me from working on or publishing an article.

        Loading editor
    • Why did you write it in the style of an article?

        Loading editor
    • Felt like cracking a joke at your remark :P

        Loading editor
    • Because of that I won't help you. Maybe that'll teach you to stop making jokes about me. :P

      I joke of course.

      Ok please define «Your Issues».

        Loading editor
    • A joke at you and a joke at your remark isn't the same thing. I imagined a scene from a movie when I read your remark, so I couldn't resist responding like a computer :P

Anyway, if you want to know specific issues I'm having, you could have just visited the other thread. Anyway, here are a few that I'm having right now:

      • Inconsistency with Mishe's (35th Floor main town) description. See Thread:17817.
      • Should I put Ronbaru under SAO locations, ALO locations or both. It's never shown in the Aincrad Arc, but based on the fact that the cities in New Aincrad are the same as in the regular one, it should be a location there as well, which is why I'd personally put it under both.
      • I'm not sure whether I should use 超巨大図書室 or just 大図書室 for the Great Library Room. The first one was after a long vertical line in the raw, so I figured that it was the official name, but the latter one is basically dominant throughout the volume.
        Loading editor
    • Unfortunately I can't help you, as I am even more clueless than yourself

        Loading editor
    • From what earlier posts i read, the great library room should be posted like this: 超巨大図書室, as it is the complete name of the place. Of course, reki would shorten it, kinda like what we would say, "Beijing library", and we shorten it to "the library".

        Loading editor
    • The problem is that I took that part without context, as I wasn't sure which page was which part of the translation, so I just took the one with a rather large vertical line, hoping that it would be it. However, now that I re-read the part which I think I checked, I noticed this:

"It was an absurd spectacle. If I were to express it in a single term—super-humongous-library-room."

That would explain where the vertical line came from, as the first "Great Library Room" mention did not have it.

Edit: Found the ""Great... Library Room...?"" part, it's: "大...図書室". What would I do without Kirito's parrot-like questions? :D

Anyway, the 2 first kanji were apparently just for description, not the official name. Well, that's one problem solved.

      Now what about Ronbaru?

        Loading editor
    • ah, okay then.

        Loading editor
    • Also, curiously enough, Central Cathedral is written in katakana. Figures that KDTV gets the easy one...

        Loading editor
    • Well, the only article left is the Central Cathedral. How's your progress KD?

    • 超巨大図書室

超<--adverb, meaning: super 巨大 or 大<-- adjective, huge/large 図書室<--noun (not a proper noun)

and the current location of the room should be within unused space with randomly changing coordination...just that it was in Central Cathedral before cut off...(current template box value

        Loading editor
    • Eh.. This is an old and resolved issue...
