Not entirely sure how to handle this. I decided to add a parameter, "section". If left blank, or not set at all, it will add the "Non-Canon" category. If there's something set for it, it won't add it. At the moment it doesn't really do anything, so having "|section=true" should suffice.
wikipedia templates can be imported more easily and some powerful features for wikipedia template can be used here, like navbox template (what we call navbar) can have list item listed in a * list fashion in code instead of the current mode, which would be simpler
Inspired by recent opening of japanese wikia central, i searched and found out the existence of japanese/vietnamese/french/turkish SAO wiki. while some of them only have like 3 pages, others have like 20 pages. please add some/all of them to the mainpage link area once the interlanguage link request being handled by wikia in 1-2days.
I apologize to the people that like this background (I do like it I just think it's time for a change) but my suggestion is this, could you please change the background image from Asuna and Yuuki to something else. Or you could keep it that way, I just think people might want a change of scenery as I do, though if it's too much of a hassle (i.e Make the wikia have 'construction' so that users can't get in for a period of time or something).
We more-or-less had the background and theme follow the anime. It's not exactly a rule, just an arbitrary decision some of the admins thought would be nice. We had a Fairy Dance theme for some time (about a year or more? dunno)
That said, we don't have a lot of artistically inclined people around, so constantly changing the theme would just be a bother to us.
Also, it's not possible for us to just block everyone from the wiki due to "construction", considering we don't exactly own the site.
The current character infobox is using Template:Infobox/Header and etc. which are using <verbatim> to construct. Apparently wikia discontinued their support on verbatim. So that mean we either have to roll back to old version infobox or get sth else?
TUSF, why do .ogg files not work on Google Chrome anymore? I can listen to the tracks on Firefox, but they no longer work on Chrome, even though they used to work. I'm getting tired of people complaining about getting it fixed, since they voice their complaints by writing them on the article itself...
Strange. Playing a local OGG in chrome seems to work, so its not like Chrome dropped OGG files. But going directly to the file doesn't.
I did quite a bit of testing, and... The weird thing is that OGG works half the time. I don't know if this is an error on Chrome's part, or Wikia's though, but there's some conflicing HTTP headers, as far as I can tell. I'll file a report on Wikia central, and if this is reoccuring with Chrome and OGG, I'll file the bug on the Chromium dev site.
TUSF... Why does the "game" parameter in location infoboxes double as both "VR" and "first game (adaptation) appearance"? For example, Underwold apparently made its game debut in Project Alicization...
Do you happen to know if Wikia changed anything in their CSS? Because now the profile page looks strange with all badges no longer in the container but listed one by one, and the achievement's descriptions don't fit into one line anymore. Seems like a space after the first bracket. As I don't saw you changing anything I believe it is Wikia's fault, but asking you doesn't hurt :)
do you remember our talk about the font color of the text in the infoboxes? It would be a great addition to change the font color of the wikitable class too. Every element with this green as the background doesn't have enough contrast to show the white text distinctly, in my opinion. I could add it to my personal CSS, but I think it would be a good addendum for all visitors.
